Twenty people are facing over 700 charges related to an investigation into illegal drug trafficking in Cornwall, Akwesasne, and Ottawa.

On Oct. 8, six search warrants were executed across Cornwall, Akwesasne, and Ottawa as part of Project Fester. As a result, police seized a quantity of drugs with a street value of over $2 million, including what officers suspected are 8.3 kilograms of cocaine; 5.8 kilograms of suspected fentanyl; 150 grams of suspected MDMA; four grams of heroin; 40 oxycodone tablets; 18 grams of alprazolam, and nine grams of hydromorphone.
