MSNBC president Rebecca Kutler has she's been diagnosed with breast cancer and will take a temporary leave of absence from the network, the network confirmed in a statement to the New York Post on Wednesday (October 15).
Kutler, 46, a mother of three, who took over after former president Rashida Jones stepped down in January, reportedly told staffers that she has a good prognosis for recovery, according to CNN 's Brian Stelter , who initially reported the news. The network president revealed her diagnosis to executives and main anchors one day prior.
Kutler previously served as MSNBC 's senior vice president of content strategy before initially taking over as president on an interim basis following Jones' departure. MSNBC didn't provide additional comments on Ku
