WASHINGTON — It's been a little over two weeks since the government shutdown began. Federal workers are not receiving pay, and some have been laid off. On top of that, economically, wallets have been getting tighter. But Verizon wants to help ease some of that worry.
On Oct. 14, Verizon launched an initiative to offer flexible payment arrangements and payment deferrals for federal workers, military members, and first responders affected by the shutdown. In a statement, Verizon said their goal is to make sure that their services are not impacted due to financial difficulties.
Here are the details to know:
Who is eligible: The assistance is available for members of the U.S. Military, Coast Guard, Federal First Responders and other federal government employees affected by the shutdown.
