A tropical wave, currently in the central Atlantic, is expected to reach the Caribbean Sea by the middle of next week, where it could develop some, according to the National Hurricane Center.
The wave, churning up a large area of showers and thunderstorms, is expected to move west between 15 mph and 20 mph over the next few days. As of 8 p.m. Friday, it has a 30% chance of developing in the next seven days, the hurricane center said.
