Charles Oliveira pulled off one of the best comebacks in the UFC. After suffering a brutal knockout loss, many thought Oliveira shouldn’t fight, but he did, and won against Mateusz Gamrot. Recently, Dan Hooker noticed that Gamrot showed signs of fatigue just from sprinting to the octagon at UFC Rio.
Oliveira defeated the Polish fighter by submission in the second round. Fans in the arena erupted since the fight took place in Rio. But Hooker thinks the fight could have gone longer if Gamrot hadn’t lost some gas just from that sprint to the octagon. In a recent interview with Sky Sports, ‘Hangman’ said:
“Gamrot looked like he was just blown after the first round. Five minutes in, and he was huffing and puffing, turning pink.”
Hooker’s observation might be accurate. The Australian fighter
