After 25 years, it was time to open up the former William Hiscocks Public School (WHPS)’s time capsule.

The crowd came out from as close as Gananoque to places as far as Ottawa and Toronto, all eager to see what they had left behind for the future generation.

“It was a good experience, creating it and a good social experience opening the box,” said teacher Clifford Wedge. “In this particular case, 25 years was a reasonable amount of time.”

In the year 2000, Wedge and student Kristen Martin proposed a fun idea to members of two classes at William Hiscocks Public School.
