MERCER, Pa. (WKBN) -- A defendant was admitted into a veteran's treatment court program after entering a plea to criminal trespass earlier this month.

Jason Christy entered a plea of guilty to criminal trespass, a felony of the second degree, according to a Mercer County Court of Common Pleas employee. Christy was admitted into the veteran's program as part of the plea.

Christy had been charged in April after reports that he allegedly tried to burn his father's vehicle.

Police spoke with homeowners, who said they had left the residence earlier and that when they returned, they found the glass on their door between the garage and house smashed, as well as the garage door open, reports said.
