SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - The owner of Springfield’s Blue Room Comedy Club has announced a plan to refund customers after comedians blacklisted the venue over unpaid wages.

Christopher Richele emailed KY3’s On Your Side team several days after the station’s initial report, stating he is assembling a team to handle the “large influx of messages” from affected customers.

Ticket holders have demanded refunds following multiple show cancellations at the comedy club. Comedians announced on social media that they were not receiving payment and refused to perform at the venue.

Richele told KY3 News on Thursday that he has instructed customers seeking refunds to contact the club through email. That email is fountaincitycomedyfest@gmail.com. The club owner has not specified a timeline for process
