TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Road workers were dispatched to repair a large hole at an intersection of US-19 on Thursday.

According to Pinellas County officials, a depression opened at the intersection of US-19 and Curlew Road in the afternoon.

The depression has caused the westbound lanes of Curlew Road to be closed west of US-19. The northbound curb lane and southbound left-turn lane on US-19 to Curlew Road have also been closed.

Northbound traffic on US-19 has been significantly delayed.

The repairs are expected to be complete by midnight, according to the Florida Department of Transportation.
