(KRON) -- Millions are expected to turn out this Saturday in a nationwide protest dubbed “No Kings” to send a message that, “America has no kings.”
This is the second round of “No Kings Day,” which happened initially on June 14 in response to President Trump’s birthday parade. On their website, organizers stated this movement started, “Because this country does not belong to kings, dictators, or tyrants. It belongs to We the People - the people who care, who show up, and the ones who fight for dignity, a life we can afford, and real opportunity.” There are now over 2,500 events across the entire nation on Saturday.
This day of demonstration is scheduled on October 18 in various locations across the Bay Area. Here’s a list of times and locations: • Alameda - Alameda City Hall - 12 p.m.
