MANCHESTER, Conn. — The Empty Bowls Project is returning to CT State Community College Manchester and celebrating 25 years of supporting Connecticut Foodshare.

The initiative puts CT State Manchester students to work: art students create some of the handcrafted bowls for the event while the culinary and hospitality students work on making the soups.

Molly Devanney, the co-chair of the Empty Bowls Project in Manchester, said the 2025 edition of the one-day fundraiser is especially important.

“We see cutbacks within the state and federal government affecting our bottom line at Connecticut Foodshare and this is just a unique way we can continue to raise funds for Connecticut Foodshare," Devanney said.
