Samsung has reportedly scrapped plans for the Galaxy S26 Edge, the ultra-slim model that was expected to join next year’s flagship lineup.
Sources say the company will instead focus on its traditional trio: Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra.
The move follows the underwhelming performance of the Galaxy S25 Edge, which sold just around 1.3 million units.
According to Korean outlet NewsPim , Samsung had already been developing the Edge variant before deciding to halt the project.
Reliable leakster @UniverseIce also confirmed the cancellation on X, citing an anonymous source.
The Galaxy S26 Edge was intended as a middle-ground between the Plus and Ultra models, but it appears the market isn’t as receptive to ultra-thin, curved phones as Samsung hoped.
