INDIANAPOLIS -- Since he was taken with the No. 6 pick in the 2022 draft, Bennedict Mathurin and the Pacers have been trying to figure out the balance between making the most of Mathurin's uncommon skill set and making him fit into the Pacers' system.

Sometimes the Pacers have leaned on his one-on-one skills and ability to create his own shot when they've struggled to find scoring elsewhere. However, when the offense has whirled they've asked Mathurin to be a gear in the machine and keep the ball moving with quick decisions but sometimes found the ball stuck in his hands.
