A road on the Cambridgeshire border is blocked in both directions due to a vehicle fire. The A11 is blocked this morning (Friday, October 17).

It is blocked from the A134 Brandon Road to A1065 at the Fiveways roundabout in Barton Mills. There is queueing traffic on the road.

Suffolk Police, Suffolk Fire and Rescue, and the East of England Ambulance Service have been contacted for more information.

Traffic monitoring site Inrix says:

A11 in both directions blocked, queueing traffic due to vehicle fire from A134 Brandon Road (Brandon Road roundabout, Thetford) to A1065 (Fiveways Roundabout, Barton Mills).
