COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation (BCSC) will break ground on its new elementary school on the west side of Columbus next week. The event will take place on Wednesday, October 22, at 3:30 p.m.

The local district’s latest school, Maple Grove Elementary, will be located at 296 Tipton Lakes Blvd., just off State Road 46 West, next to Westside Community Church.

Brief comments will follow the official groundbreaking.

The project is expected to be completed in 2027.

The new BCSC elementary school will support:

21st-century learning, including high-quality STEM instruction

Flexible spaces for collaboration and student wellness

Dedicated areas for Pre-K, therapists, counselors, and SROs

Long-term growth on the west side of the community
