Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah reacted to Infosys founders Narayana Murthy and Sudha Murthy refusing to participate in an ongoing survey in the state. On Friday, he said that the Murthy couple has some misunderstandings about the survey.

The CM said, “Does being the founder of Infosys mean being the smartest? Even though we have explained 20 times that this survey is for the 7 crore people of the state, if someone still doesn’t understand, what can I do?”

He added that the perception that the survey is only for backward classes is wrong. This survey is for every section of society. We have clarified multiple times that this is not a backward classes survey, but a socio-economic and educational survey.
