The Congress on Friday called for a ban on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and its student wing, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), in educational institutions, accusing them of promoting a divisive ideology.
The demand comes amid allegations against ABVP activists for attempting to film girl students while changing costumes at a government college in Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh.

At a press conference addressed by Congress leaders Alka Lamba and Varun Choudhary, National Students’ Union of India President, the party criticized BJP leaders for defending the accused ABVP activists.
“It is shameful that BJP leaders are defending those who tried to violate the dignity of young girls,” said Alka Lamba. “We will not allow the BJP government in Madhya Pradesh to l
