CAMDEN COUNTY, Ga. — A Brunswick Judicial Circuit judge has resigned from his position following an alleged DUI crash outside of a strip club in Jacksonville.

Judge Robert "Bert" Guy Jr., 48, worked out of the Camden County Courthouse as part of the circuit, which covers Glynn, Camden, Appling, Jeff Davis, and Wayne counties. The Office of Governor Brian Kemp confirmed that it had "received and accepted Judge Guy's resignation" on Thursday, Oct. 16.

"It has been an honor and privilege to serve the 5 County Brunswick Judicial Circuit," wrote Guy. "I will be forever grateful to my Judicial friends in this Circuit and across the state. I appreciate my remarkable staff and courthouse personnel and the attorneys and their zealous advocacy for their clients."
