Red Sox legend Manny Ramirez wants to return to Major League Baseball.

As a hitting coach.

Per New York Post MLB insider Jon Heyman on Thursday: “Manny Ramirez is getting word out to all 30 teams he’d love to serve as an MLB hitting coach.“

“He wants to bring his greatness to teach the young guys,” his agent Hector Zepeda said.

Ramirez hit 555 career homers and posted a .312 batting average with a .996 OPS over 19 seasons. Ramirez twice tested positive for banned performance-enhancing substances, the latter in 2011, when he retired from MLB rather than serve a suspension. After his ban was later reduced, Ramirez attempted several minor league comebacks in the years that followed.

Ramirez, 53, is a 12-time All-Star and two-time World Series champion (with Boston).
