Jaylen Brown was a limited participant in Friday’s Celtics practice after suffering a hamstring injury in Wednesday’s preseason finale.
Head coach Joe Mazzulla said Brown “was able to do everything but the live stuff” during the practice, which was closed to the media. He described Brown’s status as “day to day.”
“I haven’t caught up with him yet,” Mazzulla said after practice. “I expect him to be at his best every single day, and then we’ll take it from there. But just one day at a time.”
Mazzulla said after Wednesday’s game — a 110-108 win over the Toronto Raptors at TD Garden — that Brown told him he would be “fine.” Brown left after seven minutes with what the team called left hamstring tightness and did not return.
