BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) --- A 16-year-old boy was caught with a gun while going through the scanners at a Brooklyn high school on Friday afternoon, officials said.
Officers responded to the 911 call for a firearm at Boys & Girls High School at 1700 Fulton St. at around 12:15 p.m., according to the NYPD.
A spokesperson for New York City Public Schools said the gun was detected when the teen was going through the scanners. Cops took the teen into custody, and the charges were pending, police said
It was unclear if the firearm was loaded. There were no injuries.
