Jerome Kowalski, 79, of Warren, offered a no contest plea to two counts of open murder, potential life sentences, and two counts of felony firearm, each a two-year felony, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel announced on Friday.
Kowalski appeared in 44th Circut Court in Livingston County Thursday.
Kowalski allegedly murdered his brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Brenda Kowalski, in their Oceola Township home in 2008. He was originally convicted in 2013 and sentenced to life in prison, but the conviction was vacated due to alleged misconduct by the original trial judge, Theresa Brennan.
