LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Many Laredoans are expected to participate in the second “No Kings” protest on Saturday, October 18.

The protest is part of a nationwide demonstration against what organizers consider an authoritarian government.

Members of the Webb County Democratic Party will participate in the event, and authorities have announced that security and safety measures will be in place during the protest.

“[It will be] peaceful and noisy, with a lot of folks and a lot of music, a lot of energy, but very secure and very peaceful. That’s what we’re going to have tomorrow,” said Webb County Democratic Chair Sylvia Bruni.
