The National Republican Senatorial Committee on Friday launched a new attack ad at Democrats featuring an AI-generated version of Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.).

The video opens with a digitally-altered Schumer looking at the screen and saying “Every day gets better for us” with an exaggerated smile. The video includes a disclaimer in the right lower corner that says it was “AI generated.”

Republicans have at times used Schumer’s own words against him during the three-week government shutdown, and the GOP quickly seized upon the minority leader’s Oct. 9 interview with Punchbowl News , which contained the quote used in the Senate GOP committee’s AI video.
