A man has been charged over what police allege had been four years of domestic abuse, including while his partner was pregnant.

The 33-year-old south Canberran is said to have physically assaulted the alleged victim between 2022 and 2025, including by strangling and threatening to kill her.

He also allegedly breached a family violence order.

When police raided the man's home on Friday, 17 October, they found a knife and a Taser.

He was subsequently arrested and charged with a range of offences, including strangling, using a carriage service to threaten to kill, assault, and possessing a prohibited weapon.
