LOS ANGELES — Shohei Ohtani led off Game 4 of the National League Championship Series with a home run off left-hander Jose Quintana to give the Dodgers a 1-0 lead, on October 17. TWO YEARS IN A ROW.
On Friday night, Ohtani’s 116.5-mph blast put the Dodgers ahead of the Brewers, going for a sweep of the 2025 NLCS.
If this looked familiar, it’s because Ohtani also homered in the first inning in Game 4 of the 2024 NLCS, when Quintana was with the Mets.
Both games were played on October 17, one year apart.
Mark your calendars for 2026 just in case.
