MADISON, Ala. (WHNT) — An investigation is underway after the body of a Texas man, who was reported missing last week, was found off Madison Boulevard on Thursday.

According to the Huntsville Police Department, Xavier Calvin Chambers, of Austin, Texas, was last seen on Oct. 10 while he was walking his dogs.

HPD said that police were called to the area on Madison Boulevard to check on him; however, he had already left when they arrived.

On Oct. 16, around 11 a.m., police said a body was discovered and later identified as Chambers. HPD told News 19 crews at the scene that Randall's Adventure & Training Search and Rescue, a non-profit K-9 team, found the body
