Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani acknowledges the Brewers dugout as he approaches the plate to bat during the first inning of Game 3 of the National League Championship Series at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles on Oct 16, 2025.

The defending champions are back in the World Series and look unstoppable as ever.

The Los Angeles Dodgers clinched their second consecutive National League pennant by sweeping the Milwaukee Brewers, who boasted Major League Baseball's best record during the regular season. The Dodgers will look to become baseball's first repeat champions since the New York Yankees won three in a row from 1998-2000.

Whether the Dodgers open the World Series at home or on the road remains to be seen. If they play the Toronto Blue Jays, the series will open in Canada since the Blue Jays were one win better during the regular season. But if the Seattle Mariners advance, the series would open in L.A. Game 1 is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 24.
