: In a major administrative overhaul, the Assam government has ordered a large-scale reshuffle in the state police force, transferring and posting over 30 senior Indian Police Service (IPS) and Assam Police Service (APS) officers across key districts and specialised units.

The Home (A) Department issued the official notification (No. eCF-247067/102) on Friday, October 17, from Janata Bhawan, Dispur. Approved by the Governor of Assam, the order was made “in the interest of public service” to enhance policing efficiency and strengthen district-level administration.
