COLUMBIA, S.C. — As Columbia prepares for its upcoming municipal election on November 4, we spoke with both candidates running for Columbia City Council District 1.
Incumbent Council Member Tina Herbert is running against Christa Williams in a rematch of the 2021 race that Herbert won to secure her first term.

What makes you the ideal candidate for this position?
Herbert : I think that I'm the ideal candidate for District one because uh first of all because I was born and raised in District One, I was born and raised in 29203.
