Beira (Mozambique): Three Indian sailors were killed after a launch ferrying them from shore to a tanker capsized near the Beira port in Mozambique on Friday. Five Indian sailors are missing.

The Indian High Commission in Mozambique confirmed the deaths and said that it is coordinating with authoritiess in that country. ADVERTISEMENT

The exact circumstances leading to the capsize are not known. However, officials described it as a routine transfer of crew members from shore to a vessel anchored offshore. The launch was carrying 14 Indian nationals when it overturned in the waters off Beira.
