OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) -No. 23 Creighton men’s basketball will take a Top 25 win—even if it doesn’t count.

The Bluejays defeated No. 16 Iowa State, 71-58 in their first exhibition game before a crowd of 15,571.

Creighton may have a new look this year, but the same Let It Fly mentality showed up early against the Cyclones.

Trailing 8-4 early, the Jays exploded for a 23-0 run powered by Nik Graves, Fedor Zugic and Austin Swartz, who each drained a pair of threes during the onslaught.

The Jays closed the first half 8-for-18 (44.4%) from beyond the arc, before running cold from distance 1-for-12 (8.3%) in the second half.
