The Department for Education has published GCSE performance data for every secondary school in England for the 2024/25 academic year. The figures are released just two weeks before parents in the Cambridgeshire region face a deadline to submit applications for Year 7 places in September 2026.
Only two schools in the region appear among the top 200 schools in England, according to the results for 2025. The best-performing school is Chesterton Community College in central Cambridge , where 83.7 per cent of pupils achieved Grade 5 or above in both English and Maths in their GCSEs this year.
