SEATTLE, Wash. - Following consecutive humbling home defeats, the Seattle Mariners roared back to life with a 6-2 win over the Toronto Blue Jays, taking Game 5 and the ALCS lead back.

Eugenio Suarez hit the second Seattle grand slam in postseason history, oddly in the same inning, pitch count and strike count as the only other one: Hall of Famer Edgar Martinez's bomb in the 1995 ALDS.

The Mariners bullpen played well aside a shaky Bryan Woo return from injury, as Gabe Speier and Andres Munoz pitched consecutive perfect innings across the 8th and 9th to close the win.

Seattle is one win away from a World Series appearance for the first time in their existence, and they play Game 6 in Toronto on Sunday at 5:03 p.m.
