New Delhi: Ferrari can find new ways to stun the audience and have done so again with the SC40, paying tribute to the F40, with the car’s foundation coming from the 296 GTB. Ferrari’s latest addition is a one-off berlinetta designed by Ferrari Styling Centre under the direction of Flavio Manzoni. The SC40 comes with the brand’s philosophy of ultimate tailoring, with a car crafted completely around the vision of a single customer.
The SC40 takes the iconic 1987 F40’s aggressive angles with the fluidity and echoes the spirit of that car, in a modern take. The SC40 takes the 296’s V6 hybrid that makes 830 bhp and goes from 0-100 kph under three seconds. The styling takes a departure from the 250 LM-like supercar that is common. It makes 740 Nm of torque, and it gets an eight-speed F1 DCT.
