The cause of the fire that broke out in Tilbrook on Friday (October 17) morning has been confirmed as accidental. Over 30 firefighters from crews including Kimbolton, Huntingdon , St Neots, St Ives, and Yaxley were called to Station Road at 1.52am in the morning after receiving reports of a well-developed fire in the area.
The fire had broken out in a barn containing around 300 tonnes of straw. Crews worked to prevent the fire from spreading and tackled the fire throughout Friday morning.
Residents close to the fire were told to keep doors and windows closed due to the smoke. Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed the incident has now been scaled down.
