Fallout 4 was one of the more divisive entries in the post-apocalyptic series since it went all 3D on us, but it is filled with small details and useful mechanics that do set it above its predecessors when it comes to quality-of-life for the player.

Outside of major features like settlement building and deeper crafting systems than we'd seen up to that point, there were plenty of smaller alterations that really made the difference (even if you did have to occasionally wade through a river of bugs to find them).

Over on Reddit, a player with 1000 hours inside Fallout 4 discovered a mechanic relating to the game's flying Vertibird vehicles that many of you may have missed on your playthroughs.
