BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A pair of fourth-quarter touchdown runs from Ballston Spa's Mike Degenhart propelled the Scotties to a gritty, 20-13 victory over Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Friday night.
Ballston Spa set the tone in this Class A, Grasso Division clash with an impressive touchdown drive on the game's opening series to take a 7-0 lead. But the Scotties went scoreless for the remainder of the first half, and the visitors capitalized.
Burnt Hills returned the ensuing kickoff for a touchdown, drawing within a point after a missed PAT. The Spartans would reach the end zone again, though, in the second quarter, and take a 13-7 advantage with them into the locker room at halftime.
