Amid the escalating tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan, US President Donald Trump on Saturday said that it would be an "easy" conflict for him to solve if he had to, as he repeated his claims of solving "eight wars."

"Although I do understand that Pakistan attacked, or there is an attack going on with Afghanistan. That's an easy one for me to solve if I have to solve it. In the meantime, I have to run the USA, but I love solving wars," Trump told reporters during a bilateral lunch with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the White House.

The US President also lamented not being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize even after his self-proclaimed efforts to stop multiple wars, including the India-Pakistan conflict, a claim that New Delhi has rejected.
