ORANGE, Mass. (WWLP) - A driver was hospitalized following a two-vehicle collision on Route 2 in Orange early Saturday morning.
The Orange Fire Department stated that at approximately 3:29 a.m. on Saturday, crews were called to Route 2 near Exit 70 regarding a motor vehicle accident. While on their way, they were notified by Shelburne Control that the accident was reportedly a head-on collision between two vehicles.
Emergency crews arriving in the area observed that the two vehicles were a significant distance apart. Massachusetts State Police came to assist and shut down the highway due to the large debris field.
Orange Fire said that one of the drivers was trapped in their vehicle, requiring crews to use hydraulic rescue tools (Jaws of Life) to free them. They were then brought to Leo
