SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - The Notre Dame community runs deep — whether it’s players or coaches, there’s a strong sense of support.

As Micah Shrewsberry heads into his third year leading the men’s basketball program, one person who’s been in his corner from the start is football head coach Marcus Freeman.

“You know, he was here at my press conference, so I got a chance to see him and got a chance to meet him that weekend and stop by a football practice, but it’s only grown these last couple years,” Shrewsberry said.

Like many coaches, Shrewsberry believes in learning from those around him — and he admires Freeman not just for what he does on the field, but for the way he leads off of it as well.
