As the long nights draw in and the cold sets upon us for another winter, many of us turn to find the perfect spot for a cosy winter pint .

In light of this, Moneyboat has created an index ranking the best value cosy pubs in the UK. The travel experts evaluated pubs across the UK based on their TripAdvisor ratings, value scores, and 5-star reviews mentioning "cosy."

Three Scottish pubs have made the top 10 in the ratings, with one Glasgow fave coming top on the shortlist. Southside gem, the Old Smiddy, is found just a short walk from Cathcart Train Station on Old Castle Road.

The warm and welcoming pub, with plenty of grub and drink options, has a spacious seating area, shows plenty of live sports and even has a cracking beer garden if the weather isn't too bad in the wintertime.
