A school staff member tragically died after allegedly being kicked in the chest by a teenage pupil. ‌

Amy Morrell, 53, was attacked by a 14-year-old girl after the teen allegedly attempted to leave a residence hall without having permission at around 6.55pm on Wednesday, according to the police . Morrell had tried to restrain the pupil but was then kicked in the chest, according to cops, reports the Mirror. ‌

The school staffer collapsed shortly after the attack with colleagues rushing to start CPR and calling emergency services. Morrell was desperately rushed to hospital but she sadly died on Thursday. The shocking incident happened at the Meadowridge Academy in Swansea, Massachusetts, in the US. ‌
