Srinagar, Oct 18: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday arrested three drug peddlers in Kulgam & Awantipora areas and recovered contraband substance from their possession.

A police official said that in Kulgam, a police party from Police Station Yaripora at a checkpoint established at Kanjikullah intercepted 02 persons, riding a motorcycle bearing registration number JK13J-7576. During search, 06 grams of Heroin like contraband substance and Cash of Rs 15720/- (believed to be proceeds of narcotics) was recovered from their possession. They have been identified as Faizan Ahmad Dar, son of Nafees Ahmad Dar, resident of Brazloo; and Pillion rider Sheeraz Ahmad Lone @Sher Khan, resident of Tungdanoo. They have been arrested and motorcycle used in the commission of crime has also been seized.
