The Los Angeles Dodgers are in the World Series for the fifth time in nine seasons and will face either the Seattle Mariners or Toronto Blue Jays in Game 1 on Friday, Oct. 24.
If the Blue Jays win the ALCS, the World Series will begin in Toronto but starts at Dodger Stadium if the Mariners emerge victorious. The defending champion Dodgers are seeking to become the first team in 25 years to win back-to-back titles.
"I don't think what we did last year has any bearing on this year. There's a lot of guys in that room that weren't a part of last year's team," Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said.
"We want to win this year. We want to win for the 2025 team and let people talk about all that other stuff afterward. But we've got two teams that want what we want potentially. ... Our job's not done, and we've got four more games to win."
