Dhaka: All flights were suspended at Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Saturday after a major fire broke out at the cargo terminal.
Large-scale emergency response measures were put in place after the blaze was noticed near Gate 8 at around 3 pm. ADVERTISEMENT
People in and around the airport panicked and screamed on seeing thick, dense smoke plumes going up into the air, which was visible from a long distance.
