After waiting more than six years with barely any updates, Hollow Knight: Silksong finally released on September 4. The game was hand-crafted by Team Cherry to meet the studio's vision for the title: a challenging but doable Soulslike Metroidvania platformer.

Compared to Hollow Knight , Silksong's protagonist, Hornet, takes more damage and takes longer to heal . Access to resources is more limited, and the platforming requires even more precision and skill.

For most players, the game is difficult, but it's possible to get through it with perseverance and patience. If you find yourself getting stuck at certain parts or mechanics, though, then it might be time to download some must-have Silksong mods.
