Carol Vorderman has said she’s had a ‘hellish’ year for her health, after she was forced to quit her Sunday LBC radio show last year.

The 64-year-old former Countdown fixture announced she had quit the Sunday show after suffering burnout from working seven-day weeks ‘for as long as I can remember’.

At the time, Vorderman was briefly hospitalised, but scans revealed no underlying issues, so the presenter took the health scare as a ‘warning sign’ to slow down.

She has now spoken in an interview about being ‘very poorly’ after stepping away from her work commitments, although she clarified her recent health issues were separate to the burnout she had experienced.
