A judge declared a mistrial Friday in the case of a fatal shooting at a senior living facility earlier this year.
Norman Waker, 66, is accused of fatally shooting Clyde Dixon Barnes, 79, and critically injuring Vance Winston Bey, 73, during an incident in February.
After hearing 10 hours of testimony and spending five hours in deliberations, the jury was unable to reach a unanimous verdict, prompting the judge to declare a mistrial.
Waker claimed self-defense during a hearing on Thursday.
A retrial is scheduled to begin Monday.
