According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB), the blaze erupted in the afternoon, prompting an immediate emergency response. Thirty-six firefighting units, assisted by Bangladesh Air Force fire teams, were deployed to control the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to adjacent airport facilities.
